Low Cost Hybrid Cars
Hybrid cars are still fairly new to the majority of us. They use a new method of making cars, and we all know that new methods and new technologies generally mean the resulting product is a lot more expensive than the ones we are used to. However, as that product becomes more widespread, so the cost goes down. This is why low cost hybrid cars are now starting to become slightly easier to find.

North Asia DME and Methanol Conference Set for June in Beijing: Event Covers Emerging Technology and Market Updates
(PRWEB) May 22, 2007 -- China's immense reserves of coal have helped establish North Asia DME & Methanol conference 27-28 June 2007, St. Regis, Beijing, China as one of the region's most dynamic energy events. This conference features a high profile line up of the industry's most respected experts.
The event focuses on China, Japan and Korea's development of new strategies and technologies that are being adopted in this growing niche sector. Providing insights on new industry players in the Coal Chemical Downstream, taking advantage of new opportunities, supply and demand, gas price sensitivity, government regulations and strategic alliances, which all have an effect on the industry.
The development of coal to chemicals (CTC) in China will lead to more economic non-traditional feedstock sources for petrochemicals and chemicals. China's National Development Reform Commission announced that DME is expected to become a major fuel and is suitable for China's Energy Structure because it produces less emissions than diesel. Several projects and investments in Erdos / Ordos Region (Inner Mongolia), along with other regions, will provide the capacity needed to fuel the demand. The industry hopes that this development will achieve the China's national target of 20 Million tons of DME , 66 Million tons of Methanol, 8 Million tons of Coal to Olefins (CTO) by 2020.
In Japan, strategic partnerships and governmental support have resulted in the establishment of a joint venture between Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc., ITOCHU Corporation, Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd., Taiyo Oil Company, Limited, TOTAL Di-Methyl Ether Japan Ltd., Toyota Tsusho Corporation, JGC Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation promoting Fuel use DME. However, there are concerns about the economic viability of DME as prices of natural gas feedstock cause further cost escalation.
Korea's dependence on energy is extremely high. Consequently, 97% of energy is imported from oversea. Rising oil prices have prompted Korea to consider DME as another positive energy option. Available downstream processing, catalysis technologies and development in DME has provided new channels to obtain high value chemicals and alternative fuels.
The list of speakers providing updates industry outlook includes:
XinAo Group of Co Ltd
National Development Reform Commission, NDRC
Ministry of Fuel and Energy Mongolia
TOTAL DME Japan
Hangzhou Linda Chemtech Co
China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association
Lurgi AG
Shandong Academy of Sciences
KOGAS R&D
