Biodiesel And Its Producing Alternatives
In a world where people rely heavily on diesel-powered engines to perform many functions for both agriculture and other known industries, it no longer comes as a surprise if there is a limited supply of derivatives of diesel fuels with traces of petroleum.

Pros And Cons Of Hybrid Cars
With all the hype out right now about hybrid cars, you may be considering buying one. Before you do, you should consider the pros and cons of hybrid cars. What benefits can you expect to experience and what difficulties should you plan to face? Fuel Savings The first thing that comes to mind for most people when considering the pros and cons of hybrid cars is the possibility of saving money on fuel. With fuel efficiency between 30 and 60 mpg, this is definitely a consideration, particularly as fuel costs start to rise. Unfortunately, one of the downsides is that hybrid cars cost significantly more than non-hybrids. Some of this cost is offset by the fuel savings but, at current fuel costs, it is very difficult to make up the initi...
New Biodiesel Auction Site Changes the Way Renewable Fuel Is Bought and Sold
In January 2008, a revolutionary new website was launched that will forever change the biodiesel industry. Fillmore Fuels is the first biodiesel related auction website to hit the market. In today's renewable fuel market, there is a great divide between the individual consumer or home-brewer and the large commercial businesses. Fillmore Fuels is leading the way in bridging that divide by not only establishing a marketplace for biodiesel related items to be bought and sold, but also by building a community where everyone can come together to share their knowledge and expertise.
Hybrid Cars
A regular car uses an internal combustion engine with a fuel-air mixture powering it. A hybrid car on the other hand powers itself not only using the conventional means but it also uses a variety of alternate means like fuel-cells and solar-energy to turn the wheels. That makes it more environment friendly and increases its mileage.
So, You Want To Buy A Biodiesel Car
You?ve had enough of rising gas prices and it?s just about time to trade your old car in anyway. So you?re thinking about getting a biodiesel car, hoping that it will take some of the pressure off your pocketbook. Well, we have good news for you. Not only will a biodiesel vehicle save you money, but it will also help you take better care of the environment ? with 78% lower emissions than a standard vehicle running petroleum-based fuel. But where do you get a biodiesel car, you wonder? Well, hold on to your driver?s license because the good news continues. Any diesel car is already a biodiesel car. Nothing has to be done to the vehicle at all except fill the tank with biodiesel fuel instead of regular diesel.
What You Need To Know About Alternative Fuel Sources
Using alternative fuel sources is not just a matter of environmental responsibility. It is not just about calming down the little voices screaming in your head. It makes good sense and a solid investment for the future. Although most of us are either ignorant or can?t care less, the fossil fuels which form the backbone of our world economy are dwindling quite rapidly, even as we go about our daily business in our cars. Just look at the rocketing oil prices reported all over the media and you?ll get a feel of how severe the problem actually is.

American Green Holdings to Provide Technology for New Hampshire Biofuel Plant
Crane, MO (PRWEB) January 21, 2008 -- American Green Holdings CEO Dale Wiley announced today that Crane, Missouri-based American Green Holdings has been chosen to provide esterification technology for Atlantic Biodiesel?s Salem, New Hampshire plant.
?We are seeing an increase in the number of biodiesel plants wishing to run more than just soy oil as a feedstock,? said Wiley. ?The price of soy has doubled in the past year and that has made plants seek other alternatives.?
Soy oil has historically been the primary feedstock for biodiesel, but there are many lower-priced choices, said Wiley, including beef tallow, chicken fat and waste vegetable oil. These feedstocks must be pre-processed, or esterified, before being turned into biodiesel.
American Green Holdings has created technology for facilities in Nebraska and Connecticut in addition to their own projects in Georgia and Missouri. Esterification and the processing of heavier feedstock has become an area of specialty. ?These feedstocks are the future of biodiesel,? said Wiley. ?They are sustainable, and will provide our market with some equilibrium which, unfortunately, ethanol has not seen.?
American Green Holdings (www.AmericanGreenHoldings.com) is also involved with several other endeavors, most notably BidForGreen.com, an on-line alternative fuel trading website. For more information about this and other projects, contact Dale Wiley or Robert Wood at (417) 723-0301.
