Convert Your Car To Run On Ethanol Fuel (E85) With New Kit - Abcesso Technology
If you want to use Ethanol fuel (E85) in your car but don't want to buy a new flex-fuel vehicle, Abcesso Technology has released a new Ethanol fuel kit for gasoline fuelled cars.
History Of Hybrid Cars
Considering all the excitement of hybrid energy vehicles, HEVs, the first such vehicle was actually developed by the Greeks for use in their warships. It was a sailing vessel that included oars for use when the wind wasn?t favorable to moving the ship. In more recent times, the history of hybrid power encompasses the moped and electric bicycles that used either gas or electric motors coupled with muscle power to move the vehicles. However, in modern times, the history of hybrid cars didn?t begin until around 1905.
Advanced Instruments to Introduce 3320 Micro-Osmometer to Ethanol Producers at 2007 Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo
Advanced Instruments will officially introduce their Model 3320 Micro-Osmometer to ethanol producers in booth #2302 at the 2007 Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo, June 26 -29, at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Advanced® Model 3320 Micro-Osmometer allows ethanol production plant managers to streamline key control processes and dramatically cut the time to determine Dextrose Equivalence of liquefaction samples by eliminating their manual titrations with automated osmometry instrumentation.
Post-Petroleum Transportation Identifies Five Alternative Fuel Myths
Expert on alternative fuel strategies for business identifies the leading myths concerning high fuel costs and fuel shortages. These myths hinder the development and deployment of alternative fuels including ethanol, methanol, butanol, di-methyl either (DME), bio-diesel, straight vegetable oil, bio-methane, hydrogen, natural gas, propane, and synthetic liquid fuel. The author argues business managers should educate themselves so they can begin to address alternatives to rising fuel costs and shortages affecting their business.
Panda Energy to Build 500 MW Power Plant in Sherman, Texas: Clean Natural Gas-Fueled Facility Will Add Needed Capacity for
Panda Energy Inc. today announced that it intends to build, own and operate a 500-megawatt combined-cycle power plant in an industrial-zoned area of the city of Sherman, Texas. The highly efficient natural gas-fueled generating station will be able to supply the power needs of approximately 400,000 homes in North Texas and is expected to bring more than $248,000,000 into the area's economy over the next 10 years.
Tackling Climate Change Head-on: World Biofuels Markets
Al Gore will address the World Biofuels Markets Congress & Exhibition on March 7th at the Brussls Expo, Belgium. This event is the leading Congress for the Global Biofuels industry. With governments eager to diversify their energy supplies and the increasing threat of climate change it is rare to have an industry experiencing such tremendous global growth. With new biorefineries springing up daily across the globe from Honduras, USA to India and Nigeria visitors from 50+ countries have already registered and the excitement is building.
Ethanol Distillation And Ethanol Uses
Ethanol is becoming a very clear option for the alternative fuel market, as more and more countries start using and studying the ways to make ethanol use more popular, this is one kind of revolution that will change the fuel industry forever.
What Are The Two Different Forms Of Hybrid Cars?
Currently, there is a lot of interest in hybrid cars due to the gas prices of recent years. There are two forms of hybrid cars. The first is a parallel hybrid, where there is both a gas and electric supply attached to the transmission of the car and the car is able to use both sources when running. The second is a series hybrid, where the gas portion powers a generator and the generator supplies electricity for the motor to run. These both improve the efficiency of the car, which is why hybrids are favored today. The only drawback for some consumers is the size.
Hybrid Cars And Trucks
If you?ve been shopping for a new vehicle, chances are you?ve heard some discussion of hybrid cars and trucks. Unlike traditional vehicles, which rely solely on gasoline for fuel, hybrid cars and trucks combine gasoline with electric power. This allows them to maintain the benefits of gasoline cars, such as being able to travel long distances without having to stop to recharge a battery, with a lowered environmental impact typically associated with less practical electric cars. How Do Hybrid Cars and Trucks Work?

Biofuel Industry in Brazil-New Report Provides In-Depth Analysis of The Market Potential For Biofuels in Brazil
(PRWEB) March 18, 2008 -- The National Alcohol Program (Proalcool), adopted in 1975, was the largest fossil fuel substitution program in the world, mandating the use of ethanol made from sugarcane to power automotive vehicles. Despite the collapse of mandated use, ethanol has remained an integral part of the Brazilian fuels matrix. Ethanol accounted for about 40% of passenger car fuel use in 2005 and 15% of total motor-vehicle fuels use.
Beyond the use of ethanol for passenger cars, Brazil is also a leader in the generation of electricity from renewable sources. Over 80% of Brazil's electricity is produced via sustainable technology, mainly through the harnessing of hydroelectric power (77% of all generation). According to the Brazilian Ministry of Energy and Mines, taken as a whole, energy derived from biomass and hydroelectric plants account for 45% of the entire Brazilian energy matrix.
Other Topics covered in this report include:
Analysis of Ethanol By-Products in Brazil;
Impacts of Institutions on the Biofuel Market in Brazil;
U.S.-Brazil Memorandum of Understanding on Biofuels; and
Major Companies in the Brazil Biofuel Industry.
